Clare began gymnastics at the age of three. During her thirteen years as a practicing gymnast she competed to level eight. Her favorite competitive events were the uneven bars and balance beam, and she spent as much time as possible on the trampoline. After retiring from competition, Clare coached young children in gymnastics for two years in Helena, MT. Clare graduated from the University of Puget Sound in May 2006, with a degree in English literature.

Upon moving to Portland, Clare has come to work at The Children's Gym. She believes in the mission of The Children's Gym and hopes to inspire her students to enjoy the sport of gymnastics as much as she does. In her spare time, Clare enjoys singing karaoke with her friends and exercising.
