Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm- Ralph Waldo Emerson”

Morgan Battaglia

Morgan started doing recreational gymnastics at the age of four and began competing when she was six years old at Seattle Gymnastics Academy. When Morgan turned nine her family moved to Portland and she continued competing at The Multnomah Athletic Club and progressed to level eight. While Morgan no longer competes she still participates in recreational gymnastics in her free time as well as doing cheerleading, which has a gymnastics component. Morgan heard about The Children's Gym from friends in the community and was ecstatic about the chance to be part of the staff. For Morgan this is like her dream job because of her love for children, passion for gymnastics, and the desire to instill that love into younger children.

Morgan appreciates the non-competitive atmosphere and the many opportunities for the students to learn gymnastics skills. She all enjoys the mellow and fun environment, which is how she feels all gymnastics gyms, should be. Morgan hopes to add not only her gymnastics experience but also cheerleading experience for children looking down that avenue.

In her free time Morgan enjoys watching movies, being with her friends, playing the piano, and working out. In the future Morgan plans on spending a semester of high school studying in Honduras and after graduating, going on to college. Morgan would like to be a pediatrician or a children’s cancer doctor. Another goal of hers is to visit Darfur with the AIDS project.
